Mnemba Island Lodge

 

Off the coast of Zanzibar rests the untouched tranquil isle of Mnemba Island and its private lodge. Only staff and other guests inhabit the island making your stay here a completely private romantic getaway.

Mnemba Island features ten en suite banda cottages bordered on three sides by tropical beach forest and overlook the beach. Each banda has been hand-woven and thatched from branches and traditional palm matting. All rooms are refreshing as fans keep the cottages cool all day and a palm-covered walkway leads to an en suite bathroom.

Each banda has a spacious outdoor veranda for you to chill out in. The dining area and adjoining lounge/bar are thatched overhead but leave an open view of the beach and coral reefs. Spend your days exploring the reef by snorkelling, fishing or diving. The restaurant serves an array of fresh seafood such as lobsters and fresh fish. Dinner is served in the dining area, or on the beach. You can also enjoy your meals privately on the veranda of your beach cottage.
